Just letting you know, I'll be taking a holiday break from blogging. Will be back in January! Meanwhile, please feel free to browse through the archives for tried and tested recipes! :)
Happy Holidays. I saw in your site, you enjoyed stir frying using an induction cooker. I had an adventure today trying to stir fry some vegetables, everything got burned and i had to throw it all away.
Appreciate some tips. The default on the cooker is 1400 watts/ 220 deg C. It can be turned down to 80 deg C which i found out only after reading the manual post adventure.
Appreciate your kind tips on this. The pot i used came with the cooker, stainless steel pot.
hello srebliss! I am glad you got yourself an induction cooker. It is one useful kitchen device that saves energy. I use it everyday, in most of my cooking, including stir-frying.
I also had a burnt misadventure the first time I did the stir fry. :) I have since learned to lower the temp as well. to 180 or 250 watts.
There are thicker woks available in the market (esp teflon coated ones) that will not burn easily because of their thicker base. :)
Have a great holiday!
